LIBRARY AND INFORMATION RESOURCES CENTRE

A college of education would not be the same without its Library and Information Resources Centre (LIRC), which facilitates access to scholarly materials, encourages research, supports instruction, encourages lifelong learning, and improves information literacy. It supports distance learning, maintains institutional knowledge, and acts as a collaborative area. All things considered, the LIRC is essential for enhancing the educational process, encouraging excellence, and getting students ready for careers as scholars and teachers.

With a focus on excellence in teacher education and practices, KPPM College of Teacher Education boasts a well-stocked library spanning all areas of teacher education. Barcodes are used throughout the fully automated library to facilitate computerised circulation.

Philosophy, psychology, sociology, environmental sciences, teaching-learning processes, guidance and counselling, teaching methods, curriculum development, ICT in teacher education, modern education, educational planning and administration, faculty development, student support and advancement, women studies, total quality management, student development, and general reference materials are all included in the collection. Additionally, the library maintains a unique selection of books from various publishers and educational organisations.

For academic users from other institutions as well as faculty and staff at the college, the library offers access to the entire INFLIBNET. The Library offers access to internet databases and subscribes to print and online versions of national and international journals.

The school curriculum text books and document archives are kept apart in the library. Access to both internal and external resources is now available upon request.

The library remains open on all working days from 9.15 A.M. to 4.00 P.M.
