DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE EDUCATION
The goal of the department of commerce education is to grant students access to education in general and commerce education in particular will empower them and help them grow into socially conscious, intellectually curious individuals who are always prepared for ongoing personal and professional development to succeed in today’s demanding business world.
In the years 2002–2003, the Department of Commerce was formed. Since its inception, the study of commerce has shown to be a varied field. The graduate-level B.Ed. programme is offered by the faculty of commerce education. It provides two years of commerce education for the Bachelor’s degree. A total of twelve students are accepted into the programme. Additionally, for the benefit of its students, the department offers a variety of certificate programmes and remedial courses. Deeper assimilation of knowledge is facilitated for learners.
DEPARTMENT OF MALAYALAM EDUCATION
The department of Malayalam education was introduced in 2002. There were 25 seats available for admission when the department first opened. In accordance with the 2014 N.C.T.E. rules and regulations, the department dropped the number of seats to 10, and with the University of Calicut’s agreement, it further cut the number of seats to 09 in accordance with management decisions. They had provided the department with unending assistance with teaching, learning, and other activities.
The most cutting-edge approaches and techniques are used in our department for instruction and learning. For the purpose of improving quality, the department is successfully incorporating blended learning.
DEPARTMENT OF MATHEMTICS EDUCATION
Mathematics provides an effective way of building mental discipline and encourages logical reasoning and mental rigour. In addition, mathematical knowledge plays a crucial role in understanding the contents of other school subjects such as science, social studies, and even music and art. The Department of Mathematics in KPPM College of Teacher Education is dedicated to imparting high-quality education in Mathematics to the student teachers who want to become efficient, intelligent and supportive mathematics teachers. Through these courses students can deepens their knowledge and understanding of Education, developing competencies & skills that contribute to making an effective teacher. It also trains and creates quality human resources with a positive attitude towards learners, leading to specialization in either elementary education or secondary and senior secondary education.
DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL SCIENCE EDUCATION
The Natural Science Education Department, established in 2002, initially had 25 seats for enrollment, later reduced to 10 in accordance with 2014 N.C.T.E. norms. Subsequently, it was further lowered to 09 based on management decisions, in agreement with the University of Calicut. Despite seat adjustments, the department has received continuous support for instructional and learning activities. Utilizing blended learning, the department explores innovative teaching methods.
The department’s mission is to furnish aspiring natural science educators with a high-quality education, aiming to produce effective and knowledgeable teachers. Their courses provide students with in-depth knowledge, competencies, and skills essential for effective teaching, fostering growth-oriented mindsets. Specialization in elementary, secondary, or senior secondary education is encouraged.
DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SCIENCE EDUCATION
The Department of Social Science Education was founded in 2002. When the department was first created, there were twenty-five seats available for enrollment. The department reduced the number of seats to ten in accordance with the 2014 N.C.T.E. norms and rules. Later, the number of seats was reduced to 09 with the University of Calicut’s consent, in accordance with management considerations. Through training, education, and other initiatives, they had consistently supported the department. The department looks at the newest methods of instruction through blended learning. The department’s goal is to give student teachers a superior education in social science education so they can become competent, knowledgeable, and inspiring educators. These courses provide students with the competencies and skills needed to become effective teachers, as well as a greater understanding and comprehension of education. Furthermore, it cultivates and educates capable personnel with a growth-oriented perspective towards learners, leading to specialisation in elementary, secondary, or senior secondary education.
